The 2024 Chevrolet Colorado is available with a Trailering package that adds a 2-inch receiver hitch, plus 4-pin and 7-pin connectors as well as a 7-wire electrical harness with a 7-pin sealed connector so that you can sync up your truck’s lights and brakes with the trailer. Also included in the Colorado Trailering package is a 4-way sealed connector for brakeless trailers to allow brake lamps, turn signals, and parking lamps. It features an automatic locking rear differential as well.
The Silverado 1500 Trailering package features the same gear found in the Colorado’s Trailering package, plus a Hitch Guidance tool to take the guesswork out of connecting the trailer.
For intense towing jobs, the Max Trailering package enhances the Silverado 1500’s towing potential by building on the Trailering package’s gear. It adds the contents of the Handling Suspension package and increases the gross combined weight rating (GCWR) as well as the rear gross axle weight rating (RGAWR). The Max Trailering package equips the truck with a trailer brake controller, stronger springs, an automatic locking rear differential, an enhanced cooling radiator, and improved shock tuning.
This package features the contents of the Silverado 1500 Trailering package, replacing the 2-inch receiver hitch with a 2.5-inch receiver along with a 2-inch insert. It also includes a trailering hitch platform.
For the toughest tasks out there, you can tow with confidence thanks to the Silverado HD Max Trailering package. This package improves the heavy-duty Silverado’s load-bearing capacity and stability with a 3500 HD frame and leaf springs, and it also adds the 3500 HD Shock Package for improved ride quality, Gooseneck/5th Wheel Prep gear, and a 12-inch rear axle.
