Here's How to Activate Your Chevrolet OnStar

1. First, check your model year. For Chevrolet models 2015 and newer, OnStar activation is simple and straightforward on equipped models. Currently, every new 2024 and 2025 Chevrolet vehicle, like the 2024 Chevy Blazer, comes with a complimentary one-month trial of OnStar Safety & Security and Connected Services.
2. Next, activate your OnStar service using your vehicle’s infotainment system or phone. Simply press the blue OnStar button in your vehicle and connect with an advisor who will guide you through the activation process. Or, you can Dial 1-888-466-7827 (1-888-4ONSTAR) and speak to an OnStar representative to activate your service.
3. To easily manage your OnStar service plan, access connected services, and receive information about your vehicle through the mobile app, you can also create a GM account.
